Our customers and clients tell us that one of the hardest parts of the sales cycle for them is overcoming objections, you know, that moment in time when the prospect says things like “I can’t afford it” or “I don’t have time” or “I tried something like that before, and it didn’t work for me.”
Unless you’re confident and skilled in responding to those objections, more than likely, the sale will slip through your fingers right before your eyes.
Now, you can find lots of information on the Internet around overcoming objections and the “right” way to respond to get the sale. Well, at least “right” to the person writing the article.
What most people don’t take into account is the unique personality and value system of the person in front of you.
You can’t say the exact same thing – have the same response – to every person. Your prospect is motivated by certain things, and that motivation might be – and probably is – different from what motivates Jack, or Jane, or Shiva, or Tim, or Luis.
In our Overcoming Objections training, we’ll cover the standard objections in the sales process and even some standard responses to these objections. Then, we’ll take it deeper and even help you craft language to responding to the objections… with the personality and value system of the person in front of you in mind.
